September is the new January

We're making September the new January.
Time to reflect and redirect what's not working.
Here are my new season resolutions, big and small:

1. Be better at keeping in touch with old friends.
And new friends. Especially, Kate and Christy. Those two!

2. Switch up the make up routine. So long, beloved Laguna.

3. Well, I drank the Goop Kool Aid. No going back now.

4. New signature scent. This one's unisex, a la
"Unbreakable" by Khloe and Lamar. Except, well, :(

5. Relax more. And not have a guilt complex over it.

6. A little less Netflix, a little more reading.
After my summer in South Africa, I'm going to start
 with the fearless Nadine Gordimer.

7. Either go all Jared Leto on you....

...or start taking better care of my $$ blonde hair.

7. Wear yoga pants....to an actual yoga class.
First stop, finally trying anti-gravity yoga

8. To redirect paths confidently and unapologetically.

All with this in mind:

HAPPY SEPTEMBER!

Cowshed | London

Have you heard of Cowshed? The English skincare brand, which
got its start in a - you guessed it - cow shed in Somerset
is one of my favorite London discoveries. The scents
(all named after moody cows) are unique and fresh.
And how cool is the packaging?

Cowshed now has spas across the UK (and even abroad at
Soho House Berlin, Miami, and New York). Inside,
they're the perfect mix of funky and rustic. Might just
have to book myself a little spa day for my birthday
coming up (MOM ARE YOU READING?) #treatyoself.

Betty Adewole for Tom Ford

Tom Ford Beauty's Spring/Summer 2014 campaign stopped
me dead in my tracks. Betty Adewole is a knockout.

BYREDO

Have you heard of Byredo? I discovered the Stockholm-based
fragrance house last weekend in a boutique in Amsterdam. I
couldn't stop thinking about the scents and the super cool
minimalist packaging until I finally caved and bought Blanche,
partly because it smells like heaven, but mostly because this
is its description in the box:

"Sun filters through morning-fresh air, through breezy linen
curtains; it washes mutedly over the room across the pale wood
floors, onto her bare shoulder; it brushes her cheek, illuminates
her silhouette. A young child's laughter echoes from the other room.
The day is new. And all is before us."

AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT IT SMELLS LIKE.

TOP: WHITE ROSE, PINK PEPPER, ALDEHYDE
HEART: VIOLET, NEROLI, PEONY
BASE: BLONDE WOODS, SANDALWOOD, MUSK

Here is a peek at the Stockholm boutique...

Chantecaille's Spring Campaign

Have you seen Chantecaille's spring campaign?
As The Coveteur points out, it's basically the Instagram of
our dreams. I'm ordering their Brilliant Gloss in Glamour ASAP.

P.S. Into the Gloss has you covered in case you're
wondering just how exactly to pronounce Chantecaille.

Bobbi Brown Comes to London!

"The Studio" has officially opened at The Westfield!
I love Bobbi's products, especially the looks on
Katie Holmes in the line's latest ad campaign.

In honor of Bobbi's debut in London,
here is her "English Rose" look, day to night:
